Highlassies close out fall season with second-place finish
The McLennan Highlassies closed out their fall season with a second-place finish at the Susie Maxwell Berning Classic in Oklahoma City. The Highlassies shot 295-295-312 – 902 at the par-72, 6,010-yard Lincoln Park Golf Course to finish only 15 strokes behind champion Texas Wesleyan that shot 298-285-304 – 887. McLennan and the Dodge City Conquistadors were the only two-year college teams in the field. The Highlassies dominated the matchup, finishing 75 strokes ahead of the Conquistadors.
Sophomore Joely Henderson led the Highlassies through the three rounds, shooting 73-74-79 – 226 to finish in seventh place individually.
