Highlanders sweep weekly conference awards

McLennan Softball's Trinity Allen and Brinly Maples swept the North Texas Junior College's Player of the Week awards for April 7-14.

Freshman first baseman Trinity Allen was named the Position Player of the Week. Allen had a .733 batting average in six games with two doubles, two triples, four home runs and 17 RBI.

Sophomore Brinly Maples was the Pitcher of the Week. Maples had two run-rule wins in the circle, allowing eight hits, five runs and four walks while striking out 12 in 10 innings of work.
