Highlanders earn all-conference awards

Three McLennan Highlanders picked up North Texas Junior College Athletic Conference awards for the 2023-24 season.
 
Sophomore guard Nick Shogbonyo was named the Co-Player of the Year and an All-Conference selection. The Arlington native averaged 20.4 points, six rebounds, 3.4 assists and 1. 5 steals per game in conference play.
 
Freshman forward Daylon Dickerson, from Kaufman, was also an All-Conference selection. He averaged 17.9 points, 9.7 rebounds, 2. 4 assists, and 1.1 steals per game.
 
Sophomore guard Antwone Gonzales of Killeen was an Honorable Mention selection. He averaged 13.6 points, 4.4 rebounds, 0.9 assists, and 0.6 steals in conference play.
