The 16th-ranked McLennan Highlanders and Grayson Vikings split this evening's doubleheader at the newly-named McClinton Field at Bosque River Ballpark.
Game one was a 3-0 shutout with Will Clements getting the win and Will Glatch getting the save.
McLennan began the scoring with two runs in the bottom of the first at Ty Johnson singled and scored on Aidan Kuni's home run.
The Highlanders' final run came in the bottom of the third. Johnson walked and Kuni reached on an error. Johnson then scored on a single by Moore.
Grayson took the nightcap 2-1.
The nightcap was scoreless for the first four innings.
Grayson began the scoring with a run in the top of the fifth. Jacob Lang led off with a double and advanced to third on a passed ball. Lang then scored on a fielder's choice by Trey Acreman.
McLennan responded with a run in the bottom of the inning to tie the game as Brodey Williams walked, advanced on a sac bunt by Rodric Black and scored on a double by Elijah Rodriguez.
The Vikings took the lead with a run in the top of the ninth. David Jeon reached on a dropped third strike and was replaced by pinch runner Cylan Madden. Madden advanced to third on an error and scored on a line out by Trent McCown.
