17 McLennan athletes named to CSC Academic All-District®
Student-athletes from McLennan's baseball, softball, men's golf and women's golf squads were named to the 2023 Academic All-District® College Division At-Large Teams released today by College Sports Communicators.
Academic All-District® Teams recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in the athletic realm and in the classroom. To be nominated, student-athletes must be a starter or important reserves with a minimum GPA of 3.50, participate in a minimum of 50 percent of their team's games or 10.0 innings pitched for baseball and softball pitchers, and have attended the nominating institution for a minimum of 12 months.
The College Division encompasses two-year institutions from across the United States, Canadian institutions and all other institutions with national affiliations other than the NCAA or NAIA. The CSC Academic All-America® program also separately recognizes honorees in four other divisions – NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot with Academic All-America® honorees announced June 21-22.
McLennan's Academic All-District® honorees by sport include:
Baseball – Zach Cawyer, Trey Cehajic, Will Clements, Will Glatch, Katcher Halligan, Jason Hawkins and Ty Johnson
Men's Golf – Peter Clark, Liam Gobin and Shoichiro Kato
Women's Golf – Raeleigh Davidson and Lucile Tanvet
Softball – Sydney Kirby, Jalie Neff, Erin Plunkett, Riley Rutherford and Matalyn Wolkow
