Highlanders finish fifth at Cardinal Challenge

The McLennan Highlanders was the top-finishing two-year school and finished in fifth place overall with 322-323-31 – 644 at the Cardinal Challenge hosted by Lamar University at the Beaumont Country Club.
 
Texas State was first with 287-298-297 – 882, followed by Midwestern State in second with 301-307-305 – 913. Lamar was third with 313-314-298 – 925, and Texas A&M-Corpus Christi was fourth with 311-324-304 – 939.
 
Brooke Kocher shot 76-79-78 – 233 to lead McLennan and finish tied for 16th place.
