McLennan Highlassies finish in 12th place at Islander Classic

The McLennan Highlassies, the only two-year program in the field, shot 331-332-321 – 984 to finish in 12th place of the Islander Classic at the par-72, 6,032-yard Corpus Christi Country Club.
 
Sam Houston State finished in first place with 303-299-291 – 893, followed by Houston Baptist in second with and 304-298-292 – 394 and Incarnate Word in third with 299-308-293 – 900.

Sophomore Ellie Darnell shot 81-80-81 – 242 to lead the Highlassies and finish tied for 48th place.
