Highlassies finish in fourth place at NJCAA National Championship
The McLennan Highlassies closed out the 2019 season with a fourth-place finish at the NJCAA Women's National Championship in Daytona Beach, Florida. The Highlassies shot 322-336-331 – 989 in the 54-hole event. The tournament was shortened following the cancellation of Monday's opening round due to inclement weather.
Seminole State claimed the team title with 300-297-303 – 900, followed by Daytona State in second with 309-304-310 – 923 and Western Texas in third with 319-320-315 – 954.
Freshman Ellie Darnell led the Highlassies with 78-81-80 – 239 and finished in a tie for 14th place. Worapitcha Anndit of Seminole State claimed the individual title with 70-72-71 – 213.
