McLennan women up to #9 in rankings

The McLennan women's basketball squad, with an overall record of 19-2, jumped two spots to #9 in this week's NJCAA Division I Rankings.

The top four teams remained the same this week: New Mexico, #1, 22-1; Northwest Florida State, #2, 21-1; Chipola (Florida), #3, 23-1; and Three Rivers (Missouri), #4, 21-2. Wabash Valley (Illinois) jumped two spots to #5 with a 21-2 record.

Other Texas schools ranked include: South Plains, down one spot to #11, 18-3; Trinity Valley, steady at #12, 18-3; Odessa, up one spot to #16, 15-6; and Grayson, entering the poll at #25, 18-5. Clarendon and Blinn are receiving votes.

McLennan returns to action Wednesday, traveling to Weatherford for a 5 p.m. tip off.
