McLennan women climb to No. 8

The undefeated McLennan women's basketball squad moved up two spots to #8 in the latest NJCAA Division I Women's Basketball Poll released today. McLennan has an overall record of 15-0 and are 3-0 in North Texas Junior College Athletic Conference play.

Northwest Florida State moved up to #1 this week with an 18-0 record while New Mexico jumped two spots to #2 with a 19-1 record. Three Rivers (Missouri) also moved two spots to #3 with a 15-2 record. Dodge City (Kansas) slipped one spot to #4 with a 16-2 record. Hutchinson (Kansas) fell from #1 to #5 with a 17-1 record.

McLennan and New Mexico both compete in NJCAA Region V along with South Plains, down three spots to #12, 15-2, and Odessa, down one spot to #19, 12-5. Grayson and Clarendon, also from Region V, are receiving votes.

McLennan will host Grayson in a conference battle Wednesday at 5 p.m. at The Highlands.
