McLennan women jumps to #13 in NJCAA poll

The McLennan women's basketball squad jumped 10 spots to #13 in the latest NJCAA Division I Poll released today. McLennan, with a record of 3-0 began the season at #23.
 
Defending national champion Hutchinson (Kansas) and Northwest Florida State remained in the top two spots with records of 4-0 and 5-0, respectively. New Mexico (4-0), a regional opponent of McLennan, jumped four spots to #3. Wabash Valley (Illinois) is down one spot to #4 with a 5-0 record, and Gulf Coast State (Florida) moved up one spot to #5 with a 4-0 record.
 
Other NJCAA Region V schools ranked are: Odessa, down six spots to #14, 4-1; South Plains, debuting at #18, 3-1; and Collin, down nine spots to #21, 3-1.
 
Other Texas teams ranked are: Kilgore, debuting at #11, 5-0; and Trinity Valley, down one spot to #16, 3-1.
 
McLennan hosts Coastal Bend a 5:30 p.m. tonight at The Highlands followed by the men against Dallas North Lake at 7:30 p.m.
