The eighth-ranked McLennan women's basketball squad extended their winning streak to nine games with an 84-50 runaway victory over the Ranger Lady Rangers on the road.
It was all McLennan from the opening tip. McLennan scored 21 points in each of the first two quarters and held the Ranger to nine points in each of the quarters to lead 42-18 at halftime. McLennan continued to roll in the second half, outscoring the Lady Rangers 23-12. Ranger outscored McLennan 20-19 in the fourth but the game was already well in hand.
Mersadez Nephew led McLennan with 22 points. Niyah Johnson and Aniya Williams scored 16 points each, and Jalayah Ingram added 11.
