Highlassies' Nephew earns Player of the Week honor

McLennan Highlassie guard Mersadez Nephew is the North Texas Junior College Athletic Conference's women's basketball Player of the Week for Nov. 7-13. The 5-7 Willis, Texas native scored 32 points and pulled down 12 rebounds in two games last week. She went 4-9 from the field, 4-6 from 3-point range and 7-8 from the free throw line for 19 points against Blinn on Tuesday. On Saturday, she was 3-6 from the field , 4-5 from 3-point range and 5-6 from the free throw line for 13 points at Coastal Bend.
