Highlassies squeak past LSU-Eunice
The McLennan Highlassies made the long road trip to Eunice, Louisiana, and are returning back to Texas with a 10-3 record after defeating the Bengals 71-67 this afternoon.
McLennan led LSU-Eunice 14-12 at the end of the first and 33-28 at the half. The Bengals outscored the Highlassies 23-16 in the third quarter to take a two-point advantage into the final period, 51-49. McLennan picked up the offense in the fourth, outscoring LSU-Eunice 22-16 to squeak out the victory.
Jade Bradley le McLennan with 24 points and Ny'Asia Goldman added 14 points.
The Highlassies will return to the court Dec. 30 following the winter holidays. McLennan will host Blinn at 5:30 p.m. at The Highlands.
