Highlassies come up short against Odessa
The McLennan Highlassies came up short against the Odessa Lady Wranglers Saturday afternoon, falling 64-62 in the consolation final of the Midland WNIT.
McLennan struggled to start the game, allowing Odessa to build a 24-9 lead at the end of the first quarter. The Highlassies found their rhythm in the second, outscoring the Lady Wranglers 24-6 to take the 33-30 lead at halftime. Odessa outscored McLennan 20-15 in the third to take a two-point lead and held it through the fourth quarter to seal the win.
Tayla Taylor led the Highlassies with 18 points and Diamond Ervin score 11.
