Highlassies stomp Southwestern Christian
Squad rolls to 42-point victory
The McLennan Highlassies stomped the Southwestern Christian Lady Rams 92-50.
Southwestern Christian built an early six-point lead, 10-4. McLennan used a 13-1 run over three minutes to take the 20-11 advantage with 13:23 to play in the first half. The Lady Rams cut the lead to five less than a minute later but the Highlassies pulled away. McLennan held the 57-26 lead at the break.
The second half was much the same as McLennan cruised to the easy victory.
Shanice Davis and Ashley Bean led the Highlassies with 15 points each. Rae'Vaughn Barnes and Demi Cumby added 12 and 10, respectively.
McLennan returns to action on Saturday, hosting Weatherford. The women's game tips off at 2 p.m., followed by the men's game at 4 p.m.
