Highlassies run over Southwestern Christian
Miller leads five McLennan scorers in double figures
The McLennan Highlassies crushed the Southwestern Christian Lady Rams 100-42 on Saturday afternoon to stay undefeated in conference play.
The game was close until midway through the first half. McLennan led 18-17 with 9:43 on the clock. The Highlassies broke the game open with a 17-0 run and held the 44-22 advantage at the break.
McLennan continued to pull away in the second half as the team cruised to the easy victory.
Freshman Re'Elle Barnes led the the Highlassies with 20 points and freshman Kaylin Roher added 18. Sophomores Ashley Bean and Kyra Bauer scored 12 and 11 points, respectively. Freshman Amani Davis added 10.
McLennan returns to action on Wednesday, traveling to Weatherford. The women's game begins at 5:30 p.m., followed by the men's game at 7:30 p.m.
