McLennan routed the Hill Rebels on the road this evening.
Natalie Klenda picked up the 20-0 shut-out victory in the opener.
The Highlanders took control early with eight runs in the top of the first inning. Tehya Pitts drew a lead-off walked and scored on a triple by Mickayla Tosch. Trinity Allen followed with a single to score Tosch. Allen then stole second and Lilli Piersons singled. Piersons stole second. Ally Thompson singled and advanced on an error, scoring Allen and Piersons. Alyssa Moreno and Madison Garcia both walked. Pitts then doubled to score all three runners. Tosch walked, and Allen singled to score Pitts.
Three more McLennan runs scored in the third. Garcia hit a solo home run. Pitts then singled and scored on Tosch's home run.
Five Highlander runs scored in fourth. Piersons led off with a home run. Madison Levsey doubled and Moreno singled. Levsey scored on a passed ball, and Garcia singled to score Moreno. Delanie Roeder reached on an error, and Garcia scored on a pop out by Tosch. Roeder stole second, and Allen singled. Aynsli Lawson then singled to score Roeder.
McLennan rounded out the scoring with four runs in the fifth. Moreno hit a solo home run, and Garcia walked. Tosch singled, and Allen followed with the three-run homer.
Kynlei Chapman picked up the 18-0 shut-out victory in the nightcap
The Highlanders score four in the first inning. Tosch walked, stole second and advanced to third on a wild pitch. Allen walked, and Tosch scored on a double steal. MJ Nicholson then singled to score Allen. Macie Jansky followed with a two-run homer.
Three more McLennan runs scored in the second. Moreno double and Garcia walked. A Pitts fielder's choice put Garcia out at second. Tosch followed with a three-run homer.
Another three Highlander runs score in the fourth. Tosch doubled and Allen reached on an error. Tosch scored on a sacrifice fly by Nicholson, and Lawson followed with a two-run homer.
McLennan exploded for eight runs in the fifth to round out the scoring. Tosch led off with a homer. Allen doubled and Nicholson reached on an interference. Levsey doubled to score Allen, and Lexie Sawyer walked. Lawson came in as a pinch runner for Levsey. Thompson then doubled to score Nicholson and Lawson, and Sawyer scored on a sac fly by Moreno. Roeder followed with a two-run homer. Pitts double and Tosch walked. An Allen fielder's choice put Pitts out at third. Nicholson then singled to score Tosch.
