McLennan Softball’s Klanika named Pitcher of the Week

McLennan Softball's Emily Klanika has been named the first the North Texas Junior College Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Week for the 2019 season.

Klanika, a sophomore right hander from Pflugerville, made three starts in the circle during McLennan's season-opening week. In the four-day span, she pitched 17 shutout innings allowing just 12 hits with 24 strikeouts and only seven walks as she picked up three wins.

McLennan will host Kilgore for a 1 p.m. doubleheader tomorrow at Bosque River Ballpark and will compete in the San Jacinto Round Robin Tournament Friday and Saturday at the Scrap Yard in Conroe.
