Region V North Softball Tournament postponed due to weather
Due to weather conditions in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, the start of the 2018 NJCAA Region V North Softball Tournament being hosted at The Ballfield at Craig Ranch in McKinney has been postponed until Saturday. The McLennan Highlassies, the No. 3 seed, will be facing the Grayson Lady Vikings, the No. 6 seed, at noon in the opening game of the double-elimination tournament. The tournament will continue Sunday and Monday with the championship game now being scheduled for Monday at 2:30 p.m.
The tournament features the top six teams from the North Texas Junior College Athletic Conference vying for a regional championship with the winner advancing to the NJCAA Division I Softball Championship May 16-19 in St. George, Utah.
