Highlassies’ Vasquez earns Pitcher of the Week honor

McLennan Softball's Victoria Vasquez earned the North Texas Junior College Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Week accolade for April 16-22. The freshman righthander from San Marcos went 2-0 in the circle last week. In 12 innings pitched, she did not allow an earned run while only allowing only five hits with 14 strikeouts and no walks. She pitched a perfect game against Vernon College, facing the minimum of 21 batters in the seven-inning contest.
