Highlanders finish in seventh at regional championship

The McLennan Highlander finished in seventh place with 297-291-321 – 909 at the NJCAA Region 5 Championship t the Quicksand Golf Course in San Angelo.
 
Midland finished in first place with 283-285-298 – 866, followed by New Mexico in second with 288-286-304 – 878 and Weatherford in third with 288-298-294 – 880.
 
Cason Ayers shot 73-69-76 – 218 to lead the Highlanders and finish in fifth place. New Mexico's PJ Herron was first with 69-69-77 – 215.
