Highlanders finish in sixth place at National Preview
The McLennan Highlanders shot 304-304-299 – 907 to finish in sixth place at the NJCAA Division I National Preview at the par-72, 7,032-yard Duran Golf Club in Melbourne, Florida.
Eastern Florida State finished in first place with 294-279-296 – 869, followed by Odessa in second with 295-299-287 – 881 and New Mexico in third with 296-296-207 – 889.
Sophomore Parker Scaling shot 76-74-73 – 223 to lead the Highlanders and finish tied for 14th place.
Other McLennan scores: sophomore Brayden Marnell, tied for 22nd, 76-77-74 – 227; freshman Mason Mikeska, tied for 30th, 77-78-75 – 230; freshman Will Fore, tied for 30th, 75-78-77 – 230; sophomore Colin Juban, tied for 41st, 81-75-80 – 236; and freshman medalist Arran Hastings, tied for 41st, 74-82-80 – 236.
