Lachance named All-American
McLennan Baseball's Deiten Lachance was selected as an NJCAA Second-Team All-American.
The sophomore catcher from Sherbrooke, Quebec, Canada, played in all 66 Highlander games this season. He recorded a .380 batting average with 16 doubles, one triple, and led the team with 21 home runs and 104 RBI. He had a .704 slugging percentage and a .990 fielding percentage.
He was named the North Texas Junior College Athletic Conference Player of the Year, a First-Team All-Conference, First-Team All-Region, and JUCO World Series All-Tournament Team selection. He will transfer to the University of Oklahoma.
