Highlanders top Alvin
The McLennan Highlanders picked up their second road win in as many days with a 6-2 victory over the Alvin Dolphins in Alvin. Cade Waibel picked up the win on the mound.
The Highlanders began the scoring with Walker Freeman's solo home run in the second inning.
The Dolphins tied the game with a run in the fourth. Damien Carreon, Reagan James and Cade Baker all singled. Carreon then scored on a fielder's choice by Josh Milton.
McLennan took the lead with Sam Flores' solo home run in the sixth.
The Highlanders added four runs in the top of the eighth. Aidan Kuni and Mac Rose both walked. Xander McAfee came in as a pinch runner for Rose. Gavyn Jones was then hit by the pitch to load the bases. Owen Smith followed with a grand slam
Alvin's final run came with Dacoda Agoto's home run in the bottom of the eighth.
