McLennan Baseball drops game to Blinn

The McLennan Highlanders dropped today's game 8-5 to the Blinn Buccaneers at Bosque River Ballpark.
 
The Highlanders began the scoring with a run in the bottom of the first as Elijah Rodriguez doubled, advanced to third on a sacrifice fly by Jason Hawkins and score on a ground out by Blake Hansen.
 
The Buccaneers took the lead with two runs in the top of the second as Ian Collier waked and scored on a Coy DeFury home run.
 
McLennan took the lead with two runs in the fourth. Katcher Halligan and Aidan Kuni drew back-to-back walks to lead off the inning. Rodrigues singled to score Halligan, and Hawkins singled to score Kuni.
 
Blinn took the lead with three runs in the fifth. Brandon Bishop singled and scored on a double by Tanner Reaves. Collier walked and both runners advanced on a passed ball. Kash Durkin then singled to score Reaves and Collier.
 
Blake Hansen led off the bottom of the fifth with a solo home run for the Highlanders.
 
McLennan tied the game with a run in the bottom of the eighth. Britton Moore led off with a single but was out at second on a fielder's choice by Karson Krowka. Jake D'Altrui then doubled to score Krowka.
 
Blinn sealed the win with three runs in the top of the ninth. Bishop doubled and Reaves singled. Collier followed with a three-run homer.
