Five McLennan teams & 42 McLennan athletes receive NJCAA academic awards
Five McLennan Athletics teams were recognized as NJCAA Academic Teams of the Year with NJCAA Academic Team Awards for a team GPA of 3.0 during the 2024-25 academic year: softball (3.76 GPA), men's golf (3.45 GPA), women's golf (3.43 GPA), baseball (3.24 GPA) and men's basketball (3.06 GPA)
42 McLennan student-athletes were also recognized on the 2024-25 NJCAA All-Academic Teams. Student-athletes are placed on one of three teams based on the GPA achieved: First Team (4.0 GPA), Second Team (3.80-3.99 GPA) and Third Team (3.60-3.79 GPA). McLennan placed 17 on the First Team, nine on the Second Team and 16 on the Third Team.
Baseball and Softball led the McLennan teams with 15 honorees each, followed by women's golf and women's golf with four each, women's basketball with three and men's basketball with one. A total of 13,915 student-athletes from across the nation were honored.
