Pair of McLennan athletes sign Letters of Intent
Two more McLennan student-athletes have made their commitments to continue their athletic and academic career with four-year schools. Women's golfer Madison Saenz signed with Missouri Southern State University and Shequana Jackson of the women's basketball squad is headed to the University of Texas at Tyler.
Saenz, a sophomore from El Paso, competed in two tournaments for the Highlassies this year. She earned a Conference Player of the Week award in the fall and was named to the 2019-20 North Texas Junior College Athletic Conference (NTJCAC) Academic All-Conference Team. As a freshman, she competed in four tournaments and was a NJCAA All-Academic Second-Team honoree.
Jackson, a sophomore post from Brooklyn, New York, played in two games for the Highlassies this year before suffering a season-ending knee injury. She was also named to the 2019-20 North Texas Junior College Athletic Conference (NTJCAC) Academic All-Conference Team. As a freshman, she played in 23 games, averaging 2.3 points and 3.4 rebounds.
