The McLennan Highlassies picked up two 6-0 shut-out wins over the Cisco Lady Wranglers Saturday afternoon in Cisco.
Lizzie Donaldson picked up the win for the Highlassies in the circle for game one and Kyleigh Homesley got the save.
McLennan jumped out to an early lead, scoring one run in the top of the first as Theresa Gonzales reached first safely and moved to second on an error, advanced to third on a single by Serena Saldivar and scored on a bunt by Elizabeth Svienty.
Theresa Gonzales was once again safe on an error in the third. Twin sister Victoria Gonzales followed with a single. Theresa then moved to third on a sacrifice by Saldivar and scored on a bunt by Dariann Resendez.
Two more Highlassie runs scored in the fourth. Estrella Guardiola drew a walk and Angie Camacho was safe on an error. Both runners advanced on a sacrifice by Theresa Gonzales and scored on a single by Victoria Gonzales.
The final two runs of game one came in the top of the sixth. Theresa Gonzales was hit by the pitch and Victoria Gonzales doubled. Theresa came in to score on a Cisco error. Victoria then moved to third on a fly out by Saldivar and scored on a single by Svienty.
Victoria Vasquez got the game-two win with Vannessa Castro getting the save.
Once again the Highlassies scored a run in the top of the first. Theresa Gonzales led off with a single, moved to second on a ground out by Victoria Gonzales and scored on a sacrifice by Saldivar.
McLennan added three runs in the second. Resendez led off with a double, moved to third on a ground out by Haley Webre and scored on a balk. Breanna Heredia was hit by the pitch and stole second. Camacho and Theresa Gonzales drew back-to-back walks to load the bases. Victoria Gonzales then singled to score Heredia and Camacho.
The Highlassies rounded out the scoring with two runs in the third. Svienty walked and Resendez singled, both advancing on a Cisco error. Svienty scored on a fly out by Heredia, and Resendez scored on a double by Camacho.
