Highlassie softball sweeps Vernon

The McLennan Highlassies swept the Vernon Lady Chaparrals on Wednesday afternoon in Vernon.

Ashley Mills picked up the 9-2 win in the circle for the Highlassies in game one. Taylor Davis led McLennan at the plate, going 3-4 with a triple and two RBIs. Sevanah Campos hit a double. Summer Dolezel picked up two RBIs and Abby White added one.

The Highlassies defeated Vernon 16-2 in the nightcap with Stacey Underwood getting the run-rule victory. Davis went 3-4 at the plate with two doubles, a home run and four RBIs. Courtney Mica also hit a home run. Natali Duron, Abby White and Campos all recorded multiple-base hits. 

McLennan returns to action on Saturday, traveling to Ranger for a 1 p.m. doubleheader.
