Highlanders finish in fifth at Thunderbird
The McLennan Highlanders shot 286-286 – 572 to finish in fifth place at the Thunderbird Invitational hosted by New Mexico Junior College at the par-72, 7,103-yard Rockwind Community Links in Hobbs, New Mexico.
New Mexico finished in first place with 273-269 – 542, followed by Ranger in second with 285-275 – 557 and Western Texas in third with 285-283 – 568.
Shoichiro Kato shot 69-69 – 138 to lead the Highlanders and finish tied for sixth place.
