Highlanders finish in sixth place at NJCAA national tournament
The McLennan Highlanders shot 290-282-305-285 – 1,162 to finish in sixth place at the NJCAA Men's Division I National Championship at the par-72, 7,316-yard The Rawls Course in Lubbock.
Indian Hills finished in first place with 278-286-284-283 – 1,131 followed by Iowa Western in second with 277-287-293-283 – 1,140 and Midland in third with 288-285-287-284 – 1,144.
Freshman Matt Lorentzen shot 69-69-73-72 – 284 to lead the Highlanders and finish tied for fifth place.
