McLennan men’s golf team receiving votes in Golfweek poll
The McLennan Community College men's golf team continues to receive votes in the latest Bushnell Golfweek NJCAA Division I Coaches Poll.
Indian Hills (Iowa) is ranked first for the sixth consecutive poll. Dodge City (Kansas) and Eastern Florida State moved up to second and third, respectively.
Other Region V teams to make the poll are: Odessa (Texas), dropped to fourth from second; Midland (Texas) remains fifth; Western Texas moved up to sixth from ninth; New Mexico dropped from sixth to ninth.
The Highlanders will compete in the NJCAA District 2 Championship April 24-25. Results from that tournament will be combined with those from the Southwest Championship to determine the national tournament qualifiers. Current national tournament qualifier standings: Western Texas, first; McLennan, tied for second; and Midland, tied for second.
