Chatman and Gooden named NTJCAC Players of the Week

McLennan Basketball swept the men's and women's award. Evan Chatman was selected the Men's Player of the Week. The sophomore from Killeen and Alabama-Birmingham commit scored 19 points in the Highlanders' win over Ranger with 10 rebounds, four assists, two steals and three blocks. On Saturday, he scored 30 points to go along with six rebounds, an assist, two steals and three blocks in the loss at Grayson. Tajenae Gooden earned the Women's Player of the Week honor. The freshman guard from Dallas scored 11 points with six assists and five steals in the win over Ranger, and followed that with 22 points, seven rebounds, two assists and a block in the win at Grayson.
