Highlanders roll over Victoria
The Highlanders crushed the Victoria Pirates 77-36.
The Pirates' Kaelon Harkema began the scoring with a basket less than two minutes into the game to give Victoria what would be their only lead of the contest. Justin Wilson tied the game at two with a put-back bucket for the Highlanders less than 20 seconds later and another put-back by Khalif Allim give McLennan the lead with 17:19 to go in the first half. The Highlanders led 12-7 with 12:18 to play in the half and broke with game open with a 14-0 run. McLennan continued to pull away and led 34-14 at halftime. The second half was much the same. The Highlanders opened the half on a 13-4 run and continued to roll to the easy victory.
Chris Pryor and Dillon Gooding led the Highlanders with 10 points each.
