Highlanders top Temple
The McLennan Highlanders improved to 15-2 overall and 9-2 in conference play with a 101-95 victory over the Temple Leopards on the road tonight in Temple.
It was a tight game from start to finish. McLennan led 55-51 at halftime and outscored the Leopards 46-66 in the second half to secure the six-point win. Six Highlanders scored in double figures. Maurice Harvey led the way with 25 points including three 3-pointers. Chris Pryor scored 18 points while Dillon Gooding and Kirk Smith Jr. scored 14 points each. Gooding knocked down four from 3-point range while Smith Jr. grabbed 14 rebounds to record the double double. Rayquan Brown added 11 points and Asare Otchere added 10.
