McLennan falls at Temple
The Highlanders fell to the Leopards 82-71.
Temple opened the game on a 5-0 run but the Highlanders responded with a 5-0 run of their own to tie the game at five with 17:57 to play in the first half. The two teams traded baskets for the next two minutes and it would be the Highlanders holding the 11-10 lead with 16 minutes on the clock. Temple took control with another 5-0 run and continued to pull away. The Leopards took their first double-digit lead at 25-15 with 9:14 to go in the first half and extended the lead to 21 at the break, 44-23.
The Leopards led by as many as 28 in the second half but the Highlanders didn't stop fighting. McLennan began to rally late in the game and cut the lead to 10 with 41 seconds remaining but couldn't pull any closer.
Chris Pryor led the Highlanders with 17 points. Cameron Copeland and Rayquan Brown added 16 and 14, respectively.
