Five former McLennan Athletes competing in March Madness
Five former McLennan Community College basketball players will be competing with their teams in the 2018 NCAA Division I Men's and Women's Basketball Championships beginning tomorrow.
Four Highlanders will take the floor in the men's tournament. Alex Mills and the North Carolina Central Eagles are part of the First Four and will face Texas Southern at 6:40 p.m. Tuesday at UD Arena in Dayton, Ohio. The game will be broadcast on truTV. Aundre Jackson and Shannon Bogues will begin play Thursday in Dallas. Jackson and the Loyola-Chicago Ramblers will play the Miami Hurricanes at 2:10 p.m. with coverage on truTV. Bogues and the Stephen F. Austin Lumberjacks will play the Texas Tech Red Raiders at 6:27 p.m., also on truTV. Kaelen Malone and the Wichita State Shockers have to wait until Friday for their contest with Marshall. They will play at 12:30 p.m. at Viejas Arena in San Diego with coverage on TNT.
Former Highlassie Caylinne Martin and the Texas A&M Aggies will host first- and second-round games at Reed Arena. The Aggies will face DePaul at 1:30 p.m. Friday with coverage on ESPN2.
