Highlanders defeat Bossier Parish, remain undefeated
The McLennan Highlanders defeated the Bossier Parish Cavaliers 90-81 tonight at The Highlands to remain undefeated on the season.
The Highlanders jumped out to an early 10-point lead, 14-4, as Bossier Parish struggled with turnovers to start the game. The Cavaliers found their rhythm late in the half, rallying to trim the lead to 3, 33-30, with 2:19 to play. McLennan ended the half on an 11-0 run to take the 44-30 advantage at the break.
McLennan carried its momentum into the second half, opening on a 9-0 run to extend the lead to 23, the largest lead of the game. Bossier Parish rallied late, cutting the lead to nine but ran out of time to complete the comeback.
Shannon Bogues led the Highlandrs with 22 points. Isaiah Gurley and Fred Jackson added 21 and 14, respectively.
