Seven McLennan Highlanders earn baseball all-conference awards
Seven members of the Highlander Baseball squad were named to the North Texas Junior College Athletic Conference's All-Conference teams this season.
Stefan Stahl, a freshman pitcher, was the lone first-team selection for the Highlanders. He appeared in six conference games with a 2-2 record, allowing 11 hits and no earned runs while striking out 37 in 21 innings.
Second-team honors went to Ty Johnson, Aidan Kuni, Britton Moore, Blake Hansen, Will Clements and Will Glatch.
Johnson, a sophomore second baseman, played in all 32 conference games with a .382 batting average, 14 doubles, one triple, one home run, 21 RBI, 32 runs scored and seven stolen bases.
Kuni, a freshman first baseman, played in 28 conference games with a .370 batting average, five doubles, five home runs, 26 RBI, 20 runs scored and four stolen bases.
Moore, a freshman outfielder, played in 31 conference games with a .348 batting average, seven doubles, two home runs, 23 RBI, 18 runs scored and seven stolen bases.
Hansen, a freshman pitcher, made seven appearances on the mound in conference play, notching a 3-0 pitching record with a 1.15 ERA. He allowed 20 hits and four earned runs while striking out 41 in 31.1 innings. He also had a .341 batting average with two doubles, three RBI, eight runs scored and four stolen bases.
Clements, a sophomore pitcher, made eight starts in conference play for a 6-1 record and a 2.55 ERA. He allowed 37 hits and 12 earned runs while striking out 39 in 42.1 innings.
Glatch, a sophomore pitcher, made 11 appearances on the mound in conference play for a 0-2 record with three saves and a 2.19 ERA. He allowed 12 hits and three earned runs while striking out 14.
