McLennan Highlanders drop to No. 5 in NJCAA poll

The McLennan Highlanders, with a 13-5 record, dropped two spots to No. 5 in this week's NJCAA Division I Baseball Rankings.

Central Florida (27-1) remains in the top spot followed by Walters State (Tennessee) at No. 2 with a 23-4 record. Central Arizona (22-5) and Iowa Western (14-0) both moved up a spot to No. 3 and 4, respectively.

Blinn, the only other Texas school in the poll, dropped two spots to No. 18 this week with a 19-7 record. Weatherford, San Jacinto, Midland and Navarro are all receiving votes.

McLennan and Navarro are playing a non-conference game this afternoon in Corsicana. The Highlanders open conference play Wednesday with a doubleheader in Weatherford.
