McLennan Baseball's Brock Morrison named CoSIDA Academic All-District®
McLennan Community College baseball player Brock Morrison has been named to the 2017 College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-District® Baseball Team recognizing the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances athletically and in the classroom.
Morrison, a Stephenville native, was named to the College Division District 4 First Team comprised of athletes from the NAIA, Canada and two-year colleges in Arkansas, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, New Mexico, Nevada, Oklahoma, Oregon, Texas, Utah, Washington and Wyoming. First-team Academic All-District® honorees advanced to the CoSIDA Academic All-America® Team ballot where first-, second- and third-team All-America honors will be selected.
A sophomore infielder, Morrison has appeared in 26 games for the top-ranked Highlanders this season, recording a .330 batting average with six doubles, four home runs and 18 RBIs. As a freshman, Morrison recorded a .377 batting average with 10 doubles and 22 RBIs, helping lead the Highlanders to a conference championship.
