"It was an interesting day. You are trying to get as many people into the ballgame as you can and keep your pitching ready to go for conference on Wednesday while also getting other guys opportunities to throw. Any time you can get that done and get away with a win, you've got to be happy, especially when you are playing somebody of San Jac's caliber," head coach Mitch Thompson said.
"I'm real pleased with the win and real pleased with the way we swung the bat. San Jac opened the door for us in the first inning by making a couple errors in the field. When they did, we just continued to run through that door and put a nine-spot on them. That set the tone for the whole ballgame."
"I'm pleased with our guys and now we have to turn our attention towards Hill and get ready to compete again in another conference series. We will start off with a doubleheader here Wednesday at 1 p.m. and I'm sure it will be very competitive."
